Robot System I
Graduate course, Faculty of Symbiotic Systems Science, Fukushima University, 2026 - present
In this course, students learn the basics of robotics. The first part is fundamental mathematics for robotics, such as linear algebra and coordinate transformations. The second part is DH parameters, kinematics, Jacobian, statics, and Dynamics of the serial-link manipulator. The third part is trajectory planning and control. The fourth part is mobile robots. The course includes both lectures and practical exercises to deepen students’ understanding.
Purpose of this lecture
Since Fukushima University does not offer any undergraduate courses that systematically cover robotics, I have created a new graduate-level course on the subject. The goal is to help graduate students conducting research in robotics solidify their foundational knowledge of this field.
