About Akira

Akira Seino is a Project Researcher at Smart Robot Design Lab. in Tohoku University, Japan. He was a Project Assistant Professor at Mechatronics Lab. in Fukushima University, Japan (2019-2021). He was a Research Officer at TransGP, Hong Kong (2021-2025). He was also a Visiting Research Associate at The University of Hong Kong (2022-2025).

He obtained his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering at Yamagata University, in Yamagata, Japan. He obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. at Tohoku University, in Japan.

His main research topic is in the area of mechanical desgin for robots, power-assisted system, and manipulation.

He enjoys fishing, listening music, and Photography.
